Talk about delusions of grandeur.
Leslie Stahl's 60 Minutes interview of Donald Trump and Mike Pence exposed the newly-minted Republican ticket as a political Odd Couple.
Oscar and Felix have nothing on these guys.
Trump did little more than talk about making America "safe" and "great" while ducking Stahl's direct questions about how he would accomplish this.
Trump also promoted himself and an agreeable Pence as the alleged tough "law and order" candidates, this just a day after picking Pence.
Yes, he is a Christian, Pence told Stahl. Then Trump awkwardly tried to claim the same.
Stahl exposed Trump's double standard. The Donald brushed off the fact that his new running mate Pence voted for the Iraq War, something Trump has harshly and repeatedly criticized Clinton for.
Trump also appeared to back off his call for a ban on Muslims entering the country, and had Pence trying to explain it away, ineffectively.
In all, Trump and Pence didn't appear nearly ready to lead this country.
